The Cinema 4 x 5.65″ Professional Kit from NiSi includes four IRND filters and a black mist, a clear, and a polarizer filter. A 7-filter pouch is also included. The filters are compatible with matte boxes that fit 4 x 5.65″ filters. Featuring a 4mm thickness, they also fit into compatible filter cages or slot into other compatible supports. The filters are made with optical glass with nano coating. They deliver neutral results with no color cast.

The NiSi 4 x 5.65″ Nano IRND 0.6 Filter is an ND filter with a 4x filter factor that provides a 2-stop exposure reduction. Its 0.6 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters are intended to not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

NiSi 4 x 5.65″ Allure Mist Black Cinema 1/8 Filter

The NiSi 4 x 5.65″ Allure Mist Black Cinema 1/8 Filter can be applied to purposely reduce the appearance of blemishes and wrinkles. This can be useful for creating a more flattering image of a subject. Contrast is lowered as highlights within the frame are diffused, helping to balance the tonal range among highlights and shadows.

This filter is constructed from optical glass, is compatible with filter holders that can accommodate 4mm-thick rectangular filters, and has a grade of 1/8. Grades of 1/4, 1/2, and 1 are also available. This filter type’s effect becomes approximately twice as strong with each grade number increase.

The NiSi 4 x 5.65″ Pure Clear Filter is a simple, clear filter with a 1x filter factor and is designed to provide general protection for your lens. This optically clear filter does not affect exposure or overall image quality while helping to prevent dust, scratches, moisture, and other elements from reaching or damaging your lens.

NiSi 4 x 5.65″ Linear Polarizer Filter

The NiSi 4 x 5.65″ Linear Polarizer Filter helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface. The light from the sun naturally becomes partially polarized due to reflecting off electrons in air molecules, causing the light to scatter into what appears as haze. A polarizing filter arranges, and filters, this directionally polarized light perpendicularly to the reflected light, allowing for the absorption of much of this light. This results in a noticeable reduction of glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces and an increase in the saturation of skies and foliage.

A linear polarizer differs from a circular polarizer in that it does not contain an additional quarter wave plane. The addition of a quarter wave plane is to circularly polarize linearly polarized light for the use of auto focus and exposure functions. Due to how the light is broken down and filtered with a linear polarizer, in-camera auto focus and exposure accuracy become skewed during use. When the light becomes circularly polarized, it permits the use of these functions.

This filter is recommended when not using in-camera exposure metering or autofocus. It is made using a process that involves laminating a layer of polarizing film between 2 pieces of optical glass. The glass layers are then ground flat to maintain image sharpness.

This NiSi Cinema Filter Pouch is designed to provide a secure and convenient transport and storage solution for any combination of up to seven 4 x 4″ or 4 x 5.65″ filters. When placed in this pouch, filters are each held within a padded, nonabrasive slot. They can be easily accessed by opening the pouch’s touch-tab-fastened front flap.

This pouch’s exterior is woven from canvas for durability.
